ABOUT US
Grass Sticks is a small team of outdoor enthusiasts in Steamboat Springs, CO, and Revelstoke, BC. I, Andrew, I started making poles in 2014 in the corner of my kitchen in Steamboat. I set out to build a better ski pole, one that wouldn't bend, break, or look like an afterthought. I explored all options, and the obvious choice was one of nature’s strongest, most sustainable materials: bamboo. After a winter of rigorous testing (aka skiing), I moved into a garage and began full production.
Today, our 8-person team combines backgrounds in engineering, carpentry, and design with a shared passion for skiing, whitewater, and all that the mountain town lifestyle has to offer. Every product is handcrafted in our Steamboat Springs, Colorado, or Revelstoke, British Columbia workshop and tested by us and our friends in environments we live and play in every day.
From award-winning ski poles to performance-driven SUP paddles, Grass Sticks gear is built to last, feel great in your hands, and will forever hold that timeless style. We believe outdoor gear should be thoughtfully designed, responsibly made, and last season after season.

Rachel manages all things athlete-related and consistently lays down the best turns on the mountain. She’s unofficially the best ski face (officially the best skier at Grass Sticks.
